Hi friends and strangers!

Good to be back from my long absence here. It sure feels good to be in the Jazzy mood all over. :) What a nice feeling to be a member of Jazz community here!
It is my honor to be connected to so many talented musicians and great Jazz fans from all over the world!

I like taking photos, swimming, and travelling. But, most of all, I like to meet people and just be friends with them.

Music brought me up actually because all of my family members are either musicians or a piano instructor. (or the painters..)

Will do some more on this page later on. For now, I will just invite some more friends to my page. :)

Thanks,

Yes, Miroslav Vitous was with Weather report, in fact he was the cofounder of the band, but he also played with Miles and with everyone you can think of .Playing with him is amazing experience, makes you think about each note you play, opens music up, it's very creative and spiritual.
Greetings

Hi Shunya,

Thanks for stopping by my page! And thanks also for your comments on our band. I'm glad you liked our sound.

Yeah, I'm pretty active at "networking" here on TJN. When you're just getting started (like me), it's important to make connections with people in the industry!

Did you get a chance to read my latest article on AllAboutJazz.com? It's an interview with fellow Jazz Networker Alphonse Mouzon. You can find it at >> http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=30679 . I'd love to hear your opinion.

Look at that Shunya smile up there! Good to see you back. You must've been busy traveling all over the world and taking pictures :o) I'm always glad to see your name on my page, thanks for coming by. Someday perhaps we can laugh over Saki and I'm sure you'll have many tales of your travels to tell. Or do I have to wait for your book?

It’s a rare occasion when you meet someone who you feel a real connection to … Someone who possesses a kind spirit, unyielding generosity and a dedication to the jazz community beyond expectations.

Jaijai, thank you so much for creating such a fantastic website for the jazz community. You’ve helped artists connect with each other around the world.

I’m proud to have The Jazz Network be the first site to promote my latest recording. Words cannot express my gratitude to you for your dedication to the music and the artists.

With much love and gratitude,

Hi Jaijai,

Stopping by to show you some love and tell you just how much I appreciate all you've been doing here, not just for me but for this incredible community of jazz musicians. I see that The Jazz Network is growing in leaps and bounds daily and want you to know that I recognize the importance of what's going on here, musicians having a place to connect with each other, young musicians having a place to meet and be mentored by musicians who have been around the block. You've created a beautiful space here and it's obvious that folks are feeling very much at home. Thanks for sharing your time, your heart, your soul. This is a huge commitment and you've taken it on with such determination. I wish you and The Jazz Network continued success and support you in all you're doing.

“But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between us. Love one another, and let the love be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.”

This is how I have felt and continue to feel since I joined The Jazz Network on March 4th 2008.
If we look back at our Village Elders one sees how they worked together to achieve and be innovative, and thanks to Jaijai and thejazznetwork.ning we are able to continue on the same path as our Village Elders.

"Thanks to Jaijai for creating this wonderful site. She has drawn on her own extensive history in music to make a truly comfortable place for "unusual" kindred spirits to meet, share and motivate. It's been uplifting, comforting and facinating to meet fellow musicians from cultures and countries around the world."

What a great place you have created, Jaijai. Thank you so much for your dedication and vision. We musicians benefit immensely, as it brings us closer together, allows for many of us to reconnect, or discover each other for the first time. I am still getting acquainted with the enormous benefits of having this independent place for communication between all of us - artists, fans, promoters, etc., and it is a real honor for me to be featured on the Jazz Network Main Page.
