Kevin Robinson Ensemble
The Kevin Robinson Ensemble is lead by Baltimore saxophonist, Kevin Robinson. The ensemble has challenged itself to explore the "art of conversation" through combining group improvisation, original compositions and rearranged jazz standards. The group has been blessed to collaborate with visual artist David Cunningham along with several spoken word artists.This collection of free-thinking, innovative musicians and spirits is comprised of various musical backgrounds. Musical styles steeped in straight-ahead, be-bop, gospel, funk, free-jazz, neo-soul, the blues, classical, and rhythm and blues are all accounted for when you mention this compilation of artist.

Thanks for your kind words! Concerts By The Sea was a great venue to play. It was the highest paying jazz club in Los Angeles ($2,000.00-$4,000.00 per night) back in the 80s. I had Gerald Albright, Dave Koz and Greg Karukas in my small band and 10 piece band when I played there in the late eighties. I really miss that club!
