Tell us a little about you....
I am seriously open minded professional photographer as well as the Consulting Program Director at the Dow Jones Company.

As a former audio/film/video producer/director and audio engineer, I fell in love with jazz when at CBS records in the late 70'sand love jazz of all styles.

More about me and how I got here.

While I am a life long photographer turning professional in 1975 at age 16, I actually started as a film (not video) cinematographer and director for ABC News where I also mastered multi-track audio engineering and production. Soon I moved to motion picture work where my second talent as an audio engineering came into play, when it was still a very elite industry and the money to be made, very great.

Soon I was also producing and directing in audio, video and film on widely diverse projects. A triple threat.

I was highly successful in the recording and film business and by 21 years old, I established my own audio/video/film production company that I lead for 12 years. Over the years, I also continued my professional photography as well as my A/V/F production work on projects world wide, from classical to jazz, movies to commercials, majors to indies.

I retired from producing/ directing and audio production business at age 32 in 1993 and have been a professional business consultant since in a professional services group (PMO) of one type or an another since.

My love of photography has remained strong over the past 30 plus years and today with the new advances in professional digital SLRs that give me more inflexibly than film, I have gone back to what started it all; a love of the elusive image that is waiting to be captured.

Today my work is seen in print, advertising, on the web and in private collections and galleries across the country.

Here is an excerpt from a recent interview, Brad comments, “I have been described as a generalist with a passion and I think it fits. I take on just about anything. I am not so specialized that I can’t shift gears into something that makes me reach. Most of what I do is a mix…a mix of styles, technique, equipment and what I do best is find the root of what needs to happen and then build on it. That is where the old film/video director in me comes out to play. I mix art photography, photojournalism, and for still life work, a new technique of multiple image layering to achieve amazing color range and to bring out normally hidden details. The result is amazing.”

"I look for what brings out the best in me as a photographer. Honestly, I am all about that illusive image that speaks a thousand words…getting the camera into that place that has not been looked at before and seeing it new from my mind’s eye. That is what I what my photography to be all about.”

Enjoy the view from my side of the camera!

Jazz Quote - Stan Getz

“There are four qualities essential to a great jazz man. They are taste, courage, individuality, and irreverence. These are the qualities I want to retain in my music.” - Stann Getz

Brad -

Could have used you for photos today - had to do some portraits for advertising. Too bad we're on opposite sides of the Atlantic!

Thanks for your kind words - I'm glad you enjoyed my music.

It’s a rare occasion when you meet someone who you feel a real connection to … Someone who possesses a kind spirit, unyielding generosity and a dedication to the jazz community beyond expectations.

Jaijai, thank you so much for creating such a fantastic website for the jazz community. You’ve helped artists connect with each other around the world.

I’m proud to have The Jazz Network be the first site to promote my latest recording. Words cannot express my gratitude to you for your dedication to the music and the artists.

With much love and gratitude,

Hi Jaijai,

Stopping by to show you some love and tell you just how much I appreciate all you've been doing here, not just for me but for this incredible community of jazz musicians. I see that The Jazz Network is growing in leaps and bounds daily and want you to know that I recognize the importance of what's going on here, musicians having a place to connect with each other, young musicians having a place to meet and be mentored by musicians who have been around the block. You've created a beautiful space here and it's obvious that folks are feeling very much at home. Thanks for sharing your time, your heart, your soul. This is a huge commitment and you've taken it on with such determination. I wish you and The Jazz Network continued success and support you in all you're doing.

“But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between us. Love one another, and let the love be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.”

This is how I have felt and continue to feel since I joined The Jazz Network on March 4th 2008.
If we look back at our Village Elders one sees how they worked together to achieve and be innovative, and thanks to Jaijai and thejazznetwork.ning we are able to continue on the same path as our Village Elders.

"Thanks to Jaijai for creating this wonderful site. She has drawn on her own extensive history in music to make a truly comfortable place for "unusual" kindred spirits to meet, share and motivate. What a great place you have created, Jaijai. Thank you so much for your dedication and vision. We musicians benefit immensely, as it brings us closer together, allows for many of us to reconnect, or discover each other for the first time. I am still getting acquainted with the enormous benefits of having this independent place for communication between all of us - artists, fans, promoters, etc., and it is a real honor for me to be featured on the Jazz Network Main Page.
